Consul (a.h.) of Georgia in the Philippines and Corps of Honorary Consuls of Georgia Dean Thelmo Cunanan Jr was a participant in the recently-concluded twenty-first session of the Conference of Parties (COP21) to the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) that was held on November 30 – December 11, 2015 in Paris, France. The theme of this year’s conference was “Sustainable Innovation”.

Georgian Consulate Mounts Successful Three-City European Art Road Show
The Consulate of Georgia in the Philippines, led by Consul (a.h.) Thelmo Cunanan Jr, the Dean of the Corps of Honorary Consuls of Georgia, has organized a successful three-city European art roadshow of Georgian-inspired paintings. The exhibitions were held in Innsbruck, Austria; Bratislava, Slovakia; and Paris, France from November 29 to December 13, 2015.

Georgians are Guests of Honor at Inauguration of Hacienda San Luis
The highlight of the 275th Anniversary of the City of Cauayan was the formal opening and inauguration of the newly-restored Hacienda San Luis, located in Barangay San Luis. The delegation from Rustavi City—the first Georgian local government delegation to the Philippines and Asia—led by Rustavi Council Deputy Chairman Gocha Shavadze and Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan Jr. were among the guests of honor. Joining them were Teona Galogra, Head of Rustavi Economics Department; Rustavi Councilors Merab Sulaberidze and Davit Skhirtladze; and Georgian Consulate Public Relations Director Melissa Dizon.
