Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan Jr paid an official visit to Kvemo Kartli Governor Paata Khizanashvili on the occasion of the signing of the Sister-Province Agreement between Kvemo Kartli and Isabela in the Philippines, the FIRST province-level agreement between Georgia and the Philippines and Georgia and the entire Asia. On International Children’s Day, Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan Jr and his partners inaugurated the “Georgia – Philippines Friendship Park” in Tbilisi, Georgia. Officially called “Mabuhay!” (Filipino for “Live!”), this is the first such park in Georgia and the entire Caucasus region and is a symbol of enduring friendship and strong relations between the Philippines and Georgia. The Philippines – Georgia Friendship Mini‐Park, the first in the country and the Caucasus and an initiative of Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan and Tbilisi Zoo Director Zurab Gurielidze, will be inaugurated on June 1^st, International Children’s day. The project is being funded by Batumi International Container Terminal LLC (BICT), the Philippines’ largest investor in Georgia and the operator of the container terminal of the port of Batumi. BICT is a wholly‐owned subsidiary of Philippine multinational company International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI).
