Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan produced two television programs to promote Georgia with Philippine and Asian viewers. The two TV shows aired on the Global News Network (GNN), the Philippines fastest-growing news channel. GNN is available in Metro Manila and all over the Philippines via cable television, satellite TV, and UHF. GNN is also broadcast Asia-wide and in the Middle East, courtesy of GSAT’s partner satellite TV operators.

The first program was a one-hour show entitled “Georgia’s Independence Day”, which was aired on “Global Village” on May 30, 2017. The show, which was hosted by Consul Cunanan himself, featured tourism videos of Georgia as well as the different activities and projects that have been carried out over the years to promote Philippine – Georgian friendship.

The second program was aired on “The Business Portal” of Mr Howell Mabalot on May 27, 2017. The title of the program was “Tourism and Investments in Georgia”. Mr Mabalot interviewed Consul Cunanan about his many initiatives to promote business in Georgia. Consul Cunanan also discussed the different trade and economic policies of Georgia and the opportunities for Filipino investors. Georgian independence was also discussed during the program.

Consul Cunanan regularly promotes Georgia on his television show. Beginning January 2017, he has been airing Georgian tourism videos every week on his TV show “Global Village”. The tourism videos were provided by the Georgian National Tourism Administration.
