Consul Cunanan to Donate Philippine Pythons to Tbilisi Zoo

In November, Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan will donate a pair of Philippine reticulated pythons to Tbilisi Zoo. This is the first Philippine wildlife species to be represented in Tbilisi Zoo.

Working together with Consul Cunanan on this project are Zoo Director Zurab Gurielidze, Zoo Public Relations Manager Mzia Sharashidze, and wildlife officials of the Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden.

Consul Cunanan works closely with Mr Gurielidze for the development of Tbilisi Zoo. In 2016, Consul Cunanan and his partners built and inaugurated “Mabuhay”, the Philippines – Georgia Friendship Mini-Park in Tbilisi Zoo. In August 2017, Consul Cunanan will lead a delegation of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines and the Georgian Organization of the Scout Movement in repainting the Philippines – Georgia Friendship Mini-Park.
