Philippine – Georgian Boy Scouts Agreement Signed
Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan Jr has successfully organized the “twinning agreement” between the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) and its counterpart in Georgia, the Georgian Organization of the Scout Movement (GOSM). The document was signed in Tbilisi by GOSM Chairman Giorgi Kvintelani and witnessed by Consul Cunanan and Levan Akhvlediani, Chairman of the Philippines – Georgia Business and Friendship Association. Consul Cunanan was also inducted as an “honorary Georgian scout”.
Consul Cunanan is Telavi’s Honored Guest During Abkhazia Heroes Commemoration
Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan Jr was a special guest of the City of Telavi during its commemoration of the Georgian heroes in the Abkhazian conflict. Consul Cunanan joined Telavi Mayor Platon Kalmakhelidze, Vice Mayor Tengiz Mtvarelishvili, Levan Akhvldiani of the Philippines – Georgia Business and Friendship Association, and other city and civil society leaders in the repainting of the cemetery dedicated to the citizens of Telavi who fought and died in the Abkhazia conflict.
Consul Cunanan to Help Georgia Develop First Marine National Park, Reforestation Programs
Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan Jr is helping the Agency of Protected Areas (APA) of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources develop Georgia’s first marine national park. The area under study is located on Georgia’s Black Sea coast, near the city of Batumi. Together with Honorary Georgian Consul in Denmark Marianne Bols, Consul Cunanan is also working on a program that will focus on reforestation of the Caucasian fir tree. Continue reading
