After establishing strong relations between Rustavi City of Georgia and Cauayan and Santiago Cities of the Philippines through a unique tri-partite sister-city relationship, Honorary Georgia Consul Thelmo Cunanan has finalized Georgia’ third sister-city in the Philippines and in Asia.
Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan and his partners will open the first Filipino franchise business in Georgia this year. Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan, together with the West Point Society of Georgia (WPSG) and Caucasus University, are going to hold the first Georgian Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Summit. The WPSG is composed of all Georgian graduates of the United States Military Academy, while Caucasus University is one of the country’s leading and most progressive academic institutions. Consul Cunanan has worked closely with both parties on a number of projects in Georgia that are aimed at nation-building and community development.
On April 21, Consul Cunanan hosted a dinner and exclusive wine-tasting for H.E. Beka Dvali, Georgian Ambassador to South Africa, at the historic Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge in Krugersdorp, Johannesburg, South Africa.
