On April 21, Consul Cunanan hosted a dinner and exclusive wine-tasting for H.E. Beka Dvali, Georgian Ambassador to South Africa, at the historic Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge in Krugersdorp, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Present during the dinner were Ambassador Dvali and his family and South African friends of Consul Cunanan, led Cape Town-based philanthropist Quintus Visser, who are involved in socio-civic and wildlife activities.
The evening consisted of an exclusive tasting of Flagstone and Joubert Tradauw wines courtesy of sommelier Charmaine Cockhead and a fine Italian dinner by Durban-based nouvelle cuisine chef Marc Letzler.
Consul Cunanan, who is also Founder and Chairman of Zoo Crew Philippines, the official Manila Zoo volunteer organization, is closely working with Tbilisi Zoo Director Zura Gurielidze for the development of the park, which was devastated by a flood in June 2015. Numerous animals were killed in the disaster. Consul Cunanan is coordinating with Ambassador Dvali for the possible acquisition of animals, via donations, from Consul Cunanan’s friends in South Africa who own game and wildlife farms.
