The delegation from Rustavi City—the first Georgian local government delegation to the Philippines and Asia—led by Rustavi Council Deputy Chairman Gocha Shavadze and Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan Jr., and joined by Teona Galogra, Head of Rustavi Economics Department; Rustavi Councilors Merab Sulaberidze and Davit Skhirtladze; and Georgian Consulate Public Relations Director Melissa Dizon, attended other events and side-activities related to the 275th Anniversary of Cauayan City.
These include the High Mass on October 12, 2015, which celebrated the Feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, the most sacred and important religious celebration of the City of Cauayan and the rock concert of Filipino pop superstar “Bamboo” Manalac. Whilst in Cauayan, the group also attended a luncheon on the occasion of the filing of the certificates of candidacy of Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy and his councilors.
