On October 9, officials of the cities of Santiago and Cauayan of the Philippines and Rustavi of Georgia signed a symbolic reaffirmation of their historic tripartite “sister-city” relationship.

Georgians are Guests of Honor at Inauguration of Hacienda San Luis
The highlight of the 275th Anniversary of the City of Cauayan was the formal opening and inauguration of the newly-restored Hacienda San Luis, located in Barangay San Luis. The delegation from Rustavi City—the first Georgian local government delegation to the Philippines and Asia—led by Rustavi Council Deputy Chairman Gocha Shavadze and Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan Jr. were among the guests of honor. Joining them were Teona Galogra, Head of Rustavi Economics Department; Rustavi Councilors Merab Sulaberidze and Davit Skhirtladze; and Georgian Consulate Public Relations Director Melissa Dizon.

Georgian Delegation Calls on Santiago City Mayor; Attends Indigenous People’s Day
The delegation from Rustavi City—the first Georgian local government delegation to the Philippines and Asia—led by Rustavi Council Deputy Chairman Gocha Shavadze and Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan Jr., and joined by Teona Galogra, Head of Rustavi Economics Department; Rustavi Councilors Merab Sulaberidze and Davit Skhirtladze; and Georgian Consulate Public Relations Director Melissa Dizon, paid a formal courtesy call on Santiago Mayor Joseph Salvador Tan. Together with Cauayan, Santiago forms the third party in the tripartite sister-city agreement of Rustavi.
