Consul (a.h.) Thelmo Cunanan jr was the guest of socio-civic leader and cultural heritage champion Cecile Guidote-Alvarez on her weekly radio program on DZRH, which is one of the most popular and extensive AM radio stations in the country.
Consul Cunanan and Ms Guidote-Alvarez discussed the different initiatives being carried out by the Georgian Consulate to build relations between Georgia and the Philippines. In particular, Consul Cunanan discussed the historic sister-city agreements that he forged between the two countries—the first in Asia.
He also discussed his activities to build greater cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, culture and arts, and environment. This year, Consul Cunanan has already held three official Georgian film showings, with a fourth showing in the works for December. In November and December, he will also bring a collection of paintings of Georgia, made by famous Bicolano painter Pancho Piano, on a three-city tour of Europe to increase awareness of Georgian tourism and culture.
