Consul Cunanan Working on Georgian Participation in the 2015 WPFF

The Consulate of Georgia in the Philippines, led by Consul (a.h.) Thelmo Cunanan Jr., is actively working for the participation of Georgia in the 2015 World Premiere Film Festival.

The event  is the most prestigious international cinematic competition and exhibition of the Philippines. The WPFF aims to promote awareness and appreciation of independent films from all over the world. In this regard, Consul Cunanan is working closely with officials of the Film Development Council of the Philippines and the Georgian National Film Center, which are partner organizations of the Georgian Consulate.

“Georgia has an amazing history in cinema and produces beautiful, top-notch films every year. My staff and I are actively involved in the promotion of Georgian films in the Philippines. It would be an source of great honor and pride to have a film from my country participate in the WPFF,” said Consul Cunanan.

Consul Cunanan is eyeing Georgia’s participation in the competition category. However, at the very least, he is confident of participation in the exhibition category. The WPFF is scheduled for June.
