Philippine Journalists to Cover Georgian Tourism

Consul (a.h.) Thelmo Cunanan Jr will be leading a group of Philippine journalists on a familiarization tour of Georgia from November 24 – December 4, 2014. The media personnel will include representatives from The Manila Standard Today newspaper, Business Mirror newspaper, REACH magazine, and the Global News Television Network.

 

They will cover the participation of film director Brillante Mendoza at the Tbilisi International Film Festival and the exhibition of visual artist Pancho Piano at the Museum of Fine Arts of the Georgian National Museum, but will also take advantage of their stay in Georgia to feature the country’s tourism sites in their respective media outlets.

The local arrangements will be provided by Consul Cunanan, in partnership with the Georgian National Tourism Administration. The journalists will visit different tourist sites in and around the capital, Tbilisi, including the ancient capital of Mestia with its beautiful cathedral and monasteries, the town of Gori, and the rich, wine-making region of Kakheti. This is the second media familiarization trip to Georgia organized by Consul Cunanan. The latter, who is himself a print and broadcast journalist, has done numerous television  programs, radio interviews, and newspaper and magazine articles to promote Georgian tourism with Filipinos.
