On May 26, Consul Cunanan attended an official meeting of Honorary Consuls of Georgia, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tbilisi, Georgia. Presiding over the meeting was Foreign Minister Dr. Maia Panjikidze, who was joined by her Deputy Ministers and other senior MFA officials.
Consul Cunanan is in Georgia to attend high level meetings with government and non-government officials to strengthen Georgia – Philippines relations. He briefed Minister Panjikidze and the assembled MFA officials about the Georgian consulate’s many current activities and projects, including the First Georgian – Philippine Sister City Agreement, which is near finalization, and the First Philippine Climate Change Delegation to Georgia in November. Consul Cunanan has already led several delegations to Tbilisi, in the fields of tourism and business.
