On January 9, 2014, Consul Cunanan visited Vice President Jejomar Binay at the latter’s official residence at the Coconut Palace, Pasay City, Metro Manila.

Consul Cunanan assured Mr. Binay of the strong relations and friendship that exist between Filipinos and Georgians and extended the greetings of the Georgian government and people for the Orthodox Christian Christmas on January 7 and New Year on January 13. Consul Cunanan also took the opportunity to update the Vice President on the assistance of the Georgian Consulate to humanitarian missions that were deployed to Leyte to aid and assist the survivors of Supertyphoon Haiyan (Yolanda) and ongoing fundraising efforts.

At the end of the meeting, Consul Cunanan invited Mr. Binay to make an official visit to Georgia and vowed to aid and assist the Office of the Vice President in making preparations for such a trip.
