On September 14, Consul Cunanan was invited by the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management of De La Salle University – Dasmarinas (http://www.dlsud.edu.ph) to give a talk on the tourism sector in Georgia and career opportunities in the field of foreign relations. The event was organized by “Tourismo Lasalleno Society” of DLSU – D. Present during the event were approximately 150 fourth-year students and faculty members.
Consul Cunanan used a powerpoint presentation to give an introduction about Georgia and talked about the country’s history and culture, current events, economy, landscapes, and many tourist attractions. He also explained to the audience his position, duties, and responsibilities as Georgian honorary consul in the Philippines. Using his extensive exposure in foreign affairs, Consul Cunanan discussed possible opportunities and advantages of a regular career in foreign affairs. After the talk, there was an open forum, with Consul Cunanan answering questions related to his presentation.
