In an effort to increase awareness of Georgia as a tourism destination and to boost tourism numbers between Manila and Tbilisi, Consul Cunanan is also focusing on corporate incentive tours, a key travel growth segment in the Philippines. Incentive tours are usually given by companies to their executives and employees as a reward for business milestones and successes.

Georgian Food and Wine Dinner for Journalists, Travel Agents
Following the successful Georgian tourism cocktail on July 17, 2013, Consul Cunanan, together with friends of Georgia, organized the first Georgian food and wine dinner for journalists, food writers, and travel agents on August 7, 2013. The event, the first Georgian food promotions in the Philippines, was held at the model kitchen and dining venue of noted food writer and chef JJ Yulo, in South Forbes Park, Makati City, Metro Manila.
Among the special guests were Nana Ozaeta and Gel de Rivera, Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Assistant of Food Magazine, the Philippines’ largest selling culinary magazine, who are planning to feature the event and the Georgian dishes in their publication.
Consul Cunanan to promote Philippines – Botswana – Georgia tourism
On July 28, Consul Cunanan flew to Japan to visit the Embassy of Botswana in Tokyo, which has jurisdiction over the Philippines and Southeast Asia. As President of the Philippines – Botswana Economic and Cultural Council, Inc. (PBECC) and Consul (a.h.) of Georgia, he is promoting Botswana as a tourism and investment destination not just for Filipinos, but also Georgian travelers and businessmen.
