The local government delegation from Cauayan City, the first from the Philippines to visit Georgia, which was led by Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan and headed by Cauayan Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy, participated in the economic forum hosted and organized by Rustavi City and the province of Kvemo Kartli.
The visiting Filipino local government delegation, the first from the Philippines, led by Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan and headed by Cauayan City Mayor Bernard Faustino Dy and Vice mayor Leoncio Dalin visited key tourism spots in Georgia, courtesy of sister-city Rustavi. These included the Gergeti Monastery in Kazbegi, the Ananuri Fortress, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral in Mtskheta and nearby Jvari monastery, and assorted sites in and around the capital, Tbilisi.
During the official banquet marking the city anniversary of Rustavi, Kvemo Kartli Governor Paata Khizanashvili and capital city Rustavi Mayor Davit Jikia took turns to thank Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan for his service to their respective constituencies and to Georgia, as a whole.
During the City anniversary of Rustavi, Honorary Georgian Consul Thelmo Cunanan was the guest of honor at the Georgian wrestling championship held at the city’s central park. The wrestling competition, which had fighters from different age groups coming from all over Rustavi and outlying areas, was one of the sports highlights of the city’s festivities.
