On October 12, 2011, Consul Cunanan was the guest of Dr. Kahka Shengelia, President of Caucasus University, at the commencement ceremony of the school’s latest batch of graduates, held at the Kote Marjanishvili State Drama Theatre. The ceremony was poignant and reflected the impressive work that Dr. Shengelia has done in such a short time to make Caucasus University the best and finest private academic institution in the region. Consul Cunanan has a good relationship with Caucasus University and is responsible for ushering in two Memoranda of Understanding with Lyceum University of the Philippines and San Sebastian Recoletos College–the first between Philippine and Georgian schools.
