In early June, Consul Cunanan was a guest of Caucasus University and was invited to speak before its business, media, and international affairs students who are interested in overseas exchange programs.
On June 21, Consul Cunanan attended the regular Sabbath luncheon of the Jewish Association of the Philippines, upon the invitation of Director Lee Blumenthal and President Paul Rosenberg. The event was held at the Beit Yaacov Synagogue in Makati City. It is the only Synagogue in the Philippines.
On May 27, Consul Cunanan visited the Georgian National Film Center, located at #4 Zviad Gamsakhurdia St. in Tbilisi, Georgia. The GNFC is an agency under the Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgian.
Rustavi City, Georgia – A tripartite agreement for cooperation and friendship between the Philippine cities of Cauayan and Santiago and the Georgian city of Rustavi was approved by the latter’s officials on June 6, 2014. The agreement was signed by Mr. Kakha Baratashvili, the Acting Chairman of the Self-Governing City Council, in the presence of his fellow council members at Rustavi city hall. Signing as witness was Honorary Consul of Georgia in the Philippines, Thelmo Luis O. Cunanan Jr., who initiated the project.
